The opportunity to shoot one of the greatest athletes of all time where he lives and trains is a privilege. To be able to do it alongside a group of world-class people is unique. The teams at Nike and Free Practice are ambitious and they were eager to take advantage of the opportunity to create something special.
We built a team drawing on the best talent from South London to Nairobi. Photographer Gabriel Moses and legendary movement director Andy Ansah came to Kaptagat, and our partner in Kenya, George Muiruri and his team at Anecdote Films made sure we had everything- and everyone we needed.
Shot entirely in Kaptagat, 2800m above sea level, it was a challenging shoot, and an unbelievable opportunity to show what we’re about.
An iconic print campaign, made with amazing people, it was a real pleasure. The campaign rolled out globally the day after Eliud Kipchoge runs the New York Marathon.
